Disabled, Tribal, Rural Manufacturers is a small-scale social enterprise operating in Vangani, with the support of the National Organization of the Disabled Artists.
In the Vangani region, a significant number of underprivileged blind and disabled individuals are compelled to beg on local trains to survive. For the past five years, we have been working closely with them, providing hands-on training and engaging them in the production of various handmade goods — with the aim of helping them break free from this cycle and live with dignity.
Till date, we have trained over 40 individuals in sustainable, income-generating skills such as candle making, crafting paper and cloth bags, sewing face masks, and producing handicrafts.
To ensure the continuity of this initiative throughout the year, we rely on the support of society through the purchase of these handmade products. Your encouragement and contributions not only promote local craftsmanship but also empower differently-abled individuals to lead independent, respectful lives.
